Héctor Alvarez

Héctor Alvarez (Director) is an MFA3 director from Spain. Recent directing credits include Ota Shogo’s The Water Station, David Gaitan’s La Pura Idea Excita, Peter Handke’s Self-Accusation, and We’re Gonna Die, a film re-imagining of Young Jean Lee’s play. The film was created in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic and was named one of Chicago’s 2020 Top Cultural Picks. Héctor is a Princess Grace Award winner and a Watson Fellowship recipient.
